  • The sibling of the Spreitzer 101 2017.
Intended to be an uncomplicated summer wine for everyone, I suppose.

Anyway, the scent is so intensive and fruity that it's almost a bit suspicious. Clear musty tones not surprising given how young it is.

In the mouth, this is actually somewhat better than said Spreitzer as is has some lively acidity which lends it some dynamics.

The fruitiness comes through, as said balanced quite well by the acidity (still not above the average in Rheingau terms though), the mustyness continues here as well.

So again, this should be a fun summer wine for a large majority of people.

However, as a Riesling enthusiast (read: maniac) I cannot but notice that the lenght of this is rather non-existant and depth is also missing.

I would liken it to the typical Walt Disney film these days: it has something for everyone and pleases everyone, except those who are looking for substance (but they are a tiny minority anyway).

Finally, 12 EUR is too much for this, 8 or max 10 would be the appropriate number.
