Very Nice. Magnum decanted 30 minutes. On a Sushi & Fish night it had everyone smiling. Feel like the wine enthusiast tasting notes are spot on. Everyone really enjoyed this!

Very earthy, almost woody. Not in an oak treatment way, but like chewy on a stick. Granted, this was popped and poured, but I don’t think time would afford you any fruit.

The nose has a heavy backdrop of scorched earth, wet bark, graphite, dark cherry, blackberry and black plum. It’s medium in weight, but spreads across the palate with fine tannin and juicy acid. Flavors include salty and sweet cherry, blackberry, plum and raspberry; black pepper; black tea; and cassis. This is a very intriguing wine aromatically, structurally and flavorfully. There are a multitude of layers that will take a solid five years to start unwinding. I’d love to try this in ten years when everything has sorted out and come together.

Brick & Fire - pairs ok with salmon, 3-see basmati rice and chanterelle butternut squash sauce. Would have been a better pairing if mushroom flavor came through the sauce better. Bolder for a Pinot. Soft dry fruit.
