Impressive GSM from Argentina. Classic CdP stylings. Savory, dark, ripe fruit and black cherry, with subtle brett and iron overtones. Integrated, dusty tannins. Medium-medium-plus body. Integrated acid. Perfect for fatty foods. I believe any CdP fan would enjoy this. Paired well with sausage and garlic potatoes. No complaints. Solid.

Dark red with a touch of purple. Nice black and red berries, floral notes, and spice. High acidity and tannins, but just medium weight. By itself, it needs a lot of time, maybe will be nice without food. Not sure.
But with the right food, it's perfect now. This was served with morcilla (blood sausage) and Argentine chorizo and sauteed chiles in chimichurri (Choripan). The best pairing of the night. Fabulous. If I could get this version of morcilla, I would buy this wine just to serve with it. It was that good.

Friday Night Brown Bagger (J&J's): Double blind. Opens with notes of flower petals, cherry, raspberry and perfume. On the palate, there's ripe cherry fruit and spice, supported by fine tannins and acidity. Very tasty, and while grenache crossed my mind for the briefest of moments, I settled on Sonoma pinot. (R&R)

This was just a little flat and didn't have much depth. lots of minerality and white pepper on the finish. not for me
