  • It reminds me of Alsace-style Rieslings but not as dry as Alsace ones.

  • This is a nice wine but not the best I’ve had from this producer. Not sure if it’s the year, or perhaps just it’s just in a transitional phase. The wine is definitely not too young. Color is medium straw yellow, right around where it should be. Nose is a bit shy at first but eventually shows off some nice candied lemon, honey, and fresh peach, with just the slightest hint of botrytis lurking in the background. Finish is short to medium, with some savory rosemary and sandalwood notes balancing out the fruit. Weight is about medium. I’d say overall the depth of the fruit falls just a bit short on this vintage but this impressive winemaker manages to put together another great bottle notwithstanding. Tasted over two nights and it faded a bit on the second.

  • With MM crab cakes and roasted vegetables. Quite dry. Improved over the evening. Needs more time.
