  Another example of the need to let a wine open up. First glass, enjoyable. Upon the pour of the second glass, a different wine. Cherry early with almost a cough syrup note (son indicated correctly) oak present and a touch of vanilla late. Earthy notes with light mushroom as I often sense in US Pinot. Chocolate makes a big appearance as it opens and it's a wonderful cherry chocolate combo.

  Not quite as good as the bottle I tried last month. The nose is floral with dark red fruit, the palate was dark plums, cherry, sweet tobacco and a touch of baking spice. The finish was moderate to long. Served with guess what - a platter of leftovers.

  This is a very nice bottle of pinot noir. Opened two hours in advance and slowly consumed over the next five hours while I was baking pies and making dips for tonight's Halloween dinner. . Red fruit and flowers on the nose. The palate was red cherry, flowers, red plums and hints of spice. The finish was long.
