The previous note from River Rat describes this well. Enticing savory Syrah aromatics, with a medium-full palate in an unadulterated style showcasing the wine's freshness. This is very drinkable now but is on the young side, with moderately grippy tannins framing the dark fruit and mineral notes on the finish. A treat.

Neon purple color, Ultra-savory nose of green olive tapenade, cherry and violets. Medium bodied, nice transition from fruit to chewy tannins. Finishes with juicy tart blackberry and pencil shavings. This wine attacks and tingles all my senses, a real treat to drink.

My style of Syrah. First experience with JL. Funky up front. Medium dark cherries, wet dog, damp earth. Lots of peppery truffle elements too. Palate is medium bodied, More spicy red fruit and earth. lots of acid - still youthful as a whole. Maybe just a tad tad thinner than I'd like... Still highly recommended especially for the price.

Violet with dark burgundy tinge on edges. Nose light violets and red fruits with a tinge of herbs and pyrazine. Palate red fruits with hint of green pepper, a slightly savory tinge. Seems a bit underripe but may just need more time to unfurl. 89 pts for now

Very west coastal in style. Light in pepper but plenty of body.
