Very interesting. A little fruit (tart cherry) but very tannic in a good way. Complex, with smoky almost earthy qualities. Great bouquet. Full flavored but medium bodied. Good finish.

From the Sonoma Coast (Sebastopol), the 2015 Clouds Rest is a chiseled, liquid Rodin sculpture. Dark, translucent red-purple. An enviable balance of pure red fruit (especially fresh pomegranate arils, cranberry bog, wild strawberries) and wet stoniness. The medium-plus body has pucker, firmness and length. Drank over two days. Held its own. Fatally delicious. 14.2% abv (not noticeable). D/H.

This needed about an hour to open up as the alcohol predominated. Then the fruit opened up to a good pinot.

Very nice. Well balanced. Fruit is not hiding. Give it a little air. Cheers!

From a magnum. Delicious! Loads of sweet strawberry jam. Nice long finish, too. Purchased at a discount and would not hesitate to pick up more, too.
