  • Pale to medium gold. Yellow apple, peach, caramel and honey. Lovely nose. Even better on the palate. It is not dominated by oak. Round and ripe bet fresh with hight acidity. Full-bodied, powerful and well concentrated. Sweet, juice, intense finish.

  • Fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in oak, aged for 11 months in barrels of 3rd and 4th use. 14% alcohol, 2,1 g/l residual sugar, 5,4 g/l acidity and pH 3,32. Total production 5400 bottles. Served from a magnum.

Deep, luminous yellow-green color. Crisp, concentrated and remarkably powerful nose with still very youthful aromas of sweet golden apples and peaches, some creamy oak, light woody notes of savory oak spice, a little bit of beeswax, a hint of honeyed richness and a touch of caramel oak. The wine is ripe, concentrated and moderately full-bodied on the palate with intense flavors of juicy peaches and nectarines, some golden apple tones, light oaky notes of butterscotch and creaminess, a little bit of stony minerality, a hint of pineapple and a touch of nutty oak. The mouthfeel is broad and quite expansive, but the high acidity keeps the wine quite effortlessly in balance. The finish is long, powerful and quite complex with concentrated and moderately oak-driven flavors of creaminess and butterscotch, some sweet apple tones, a little bit of vanilla, light stony mineral notes, a hint of ripe nectarine and a touch of nutty oak.

A remarkably powerful, complex and concentrated Chenin Blanc with lots of fruit, structure and depth of flavor. Compared to the normal 0,75-liter bottle I had a year ago, this magnum felt noticeably more youthful in style, having somewhat more emphasis on the creamy and butterscotch oak tones. However, even if the wine had some obvious oak characteristics, the wine isn't particularly oaky and the bold fruit characteristics are to the fore, keeping the woodier qualities more in the background. However, the wine is more about future potential than immediate pleasure; even though it is drinking quite nicely right now, I'm convinced that unlike the normal-sized bottles that seem to be aging at a faster pace, this wine in a magnum is built to last for a long time and probably will need to reach its 10th birthday before it hits its plateau of maturity. Fine stuff.

  • Terrific new vintage of the Granite CB. Pale straw-yellow colour. On the nose, deep scent of honey, apples, peach, melon and apricot. On the palate, concentrated, rich and structured, honey and again tropical fruits. Very fine-tuned acidity to keep freshness. 30 sec layered finish. Superb wine from Mullineux.

  • Höjer betyget något från förra flaskan. Samma noter.
