Didn't take as much care for this bottle as it was in and out of temp control. Good, not great. Too many other Pinot from NZ to try. Cashburn is much better!

We tried this Pinot over three days. It showed black cherries, ripe fruit, wet leaves, cinnamon, clove, and oak on the nose. The wine was thick and jammy on the palate, with slightly sweet, ripe fruit, lots of cherry, herbs, spices and a bacon-component. The finish was awkward, with vinegar, oak and alcohol.
We did not enjoy the wine on its own the first evening and it did not pair well with pasta the second day. The wine went best with rack of lamb on day three, but still was unbalanced and disjointed. At least it gave a nice reduction sauce for the lamb…

well this was a surprise. the last bottle we had i didn't really care for. but this was bright and lively with crisp fruit. glad i have another bottle
