Sweet cream immediately washes over the nose, followed by a rush of by toasted oak, campfire marshmallows, and some fruit, though somewhat challenging to discern at the moment. Yet another wine that *happens* to be sparkling, and enjoyed thoroughly after a few hours post-uncorking, effectively still at that point. Eventually, and certainly on the aftertaste, lengthy and ripe Meyer lemon and tropical fruit as well. I get passion fruit, Maddy gets pineapple. My last bottle, still quite lively 7.5 years post-harvest; even after brushing my teeth, still a feeling of that energetic acidity on the palate (unclear if literally or just an imprinted memory).

The cork was compromised. Almost fell off after I removed the basket. Zero pop when corked pulled. In spite of that this was drinkable and good just more advanced than I would think it should be. Darker yellow color. Bubbles still present. Much more aged that a 2019 disgorgement should be. Alas, onto the next bottle.....

Lemon/lime. Rich with acid to balance. Wait a while for last one.
