I didn’t read my previous note for this wine, and foolishly opened this bottle for my wife and mother in law. They loved it too.
This has incredible fruit and perfect balance on the attack. My lone complaint would be the too prominent oak that overshadows the other elements on the finish. This may integrate with more aging, but everything else is so beautiful right now.
On night 2 the oak fades and it gains this very seductive and smoky taste. It lasts forever; I can still taste it as I type this note. The fruit has morphed into something else too. Just a fascinating wine.

So chiseled and precise, this was even better than the Goodfellow from earlier in the week. This is only going to get better, but it is already showing incredible fruit and minerality and backed up with great structure. I had to share this bottle with 3 other people, but I will not make the same mistake with my remaining bottles.

Quite nice, with admirable complexity and balance. Lots of orchard fruits, florals, citrus and oak spice. Still young and in need to round out with some cellar time.

After Z's note I had to try one as well. This is really nice on the nose with some salted nuts, crunchy herbs, menthol, popcorn, some oak. Quite potent on the nose but not heavy at all. The palate is extremely salty, some oak, woodsy-green, mint, some lemon. This seems to be in a pretty good place right now - mostly accessible, good crunch and balance - lively and flavorful. It probably needs about 8-10 years for the oak to integrate totally, but I don't find it bad right now. The finish is lemon and salty and wood. Nose - 5-5.5+?/6, Palate - 5+/6, Finish - 4.5-5+/6, Finish - 1-1.5/2 = 15.5-17+/20 (with 16-17.5/20 potential.)

Zowie - this is a real treat. Super precise and palate-coatingly intense, refined and just gorgeous. Citrus, dainty flowers, light pear, a clingy nuttiness, and a bracing saline/mineral finish. Outstanding.
