First few sips weren't too impressive. Lots of vanilla which might mean too much oak. Not a lot of depth/length so far. Early days so we'll see. Popped , poured and properly stored. No grade for now.

Deep purple in the glass. Good nose, tobacco, leather cedar. Rich mouthfeel. Plush with deep red fruits, cassis, hints of spicey chocolate on the finish. Firm finish with well resolved tannins. Solid Cabernet and good value at $50 but this bottle did struck me as being a bit one dimensional and slightly flat. I think this seemed more interesting and multi dimensional when I tried on release. Drink or hold.,

Notably lighter in body and fruit than my first 5 bottles, with essentially no tannins present. This was like a watered dowb version of the others I’ve had, so I believe it to have been mildly corked. No rating, as a result.

a solid drinker and a good value. still plush, rich, fruit forward. decent acidity. probably drinking at its peak, five year in. brought this to a neighborhood wedding, and stashed it behind a nearby plant (I'm sure we have all done this) so no formal notes
Dark, rich and deep, this exceeded expectations and is drinking well now. But, in the name of science we will wait a few years before trying the remaining bottles.
