A red fruit, esp cherry favour, slightly bubbles gum and nicely integrated. Light and acidic, red cherry, a bit herbal, but no serious, complex structure on palate. A relatively simple gamay. First time for me to taste Chenas.

Somewhere between Burgundy and northern Rhône. Black pepper, strawberry, yeasty notes, blackberry, fresh acidity. Medium-plus body and salty finish. Banana notes, probably from intracellular fermentation, and baking spices.

Decanted 1 hour in advance. Nose of bright red fruits with an intriguing vegetal edge. Complex cascade of flavors on palate balanced by appropriate acidity. Nothing heavy or ponderous - no notes of overripeness. Finish echoes red fruits, vegetal edge and lively acidity. Glad to have enjoyed this now - will give remaining bottles 2-3 years just to see what happens.

Nose a bit too much on the funky natural side, even with a lot of slow-ox it still stays there, bit of a shame as the palate is quite beautiful. Super well balanced, red fruit dominating, clean and sharp acidity, long and enjoyable finish.

Red fruit (strawberry, raspberry), nice floral, slight spice, good acidity. Bright. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable.
