Visiting London, Galway, Dublin and Paris; 9/14/2019-9/29/2019 (England, Ireland and France): Tasted from a 187 cc screw-cap bottle served with lunch on a commercial airline flight, this straw-colored Chardonnay proved itself to be quite acceptable. Citrus, pear, verbena and wet stone aromas and flavors are framed with fresh acidity and nicely integrated alcohol (13%). Without detectable oak, it stays light on its feet throughout a solid mid-palate and medium-length finish. Drink now-2022.

Gourmet Traveller wine French Chardonnay (Winespace, Surry Hills): Apple, a little metallic and slight spice, peaches and tinned pears. It is, though, a little fat and flat on the palate.
