A little riper than the first wine but with muted fruit, touch of sandalwood, chalky minerality. Juicy, tangy, lemon over slight mandarin and drying textured mid palate. Young. Hmm
Herbaceous citrus, orange and mandarin, very slight butter, very slightly reductive. Juicy, a little more fleshy on the palate, tangy fruit, a little alcohol warmth, that slight butter note is here as well. More breadth. Nice.
France, Burgundy, Côtes d'Auxerre, Bourgogne Côtes d'Auxerre
Medium minus intensity aromas that are herbaceous with citrus, slight spice though this is broader on the palate, a little more vibrant though, in general, it's still a bit meh for me.
Ripe orange, a little stone fruit, butter and yoghurt. Tangy, tight, peacock tail tannins fill the mouth, a little stone fruit with the citrus as per the nose. Very pleasant.
Mineral, very limestone, lemon. Again the acid is a little sharp but the fruit is here as well which is supported by slight tannic burr. Time will help but lovely
Slightly herbaceous quality, muted citrus fruit; lemon and a little cream cheese. Tannic burr is a little drying on the palate and the fruit exits quite quickly, pursued by this. Hmm.
Riper but still in the citrus space with lemon and a slightly herbaceous notes. Similarly ripe on the palate, a little alcohol warmth as well. Lacks acid which means it's a bit meh for me.
Struck match, more citrus than the other bourgognes. Slightly sharp acid, there is a touch of butter but this could have seen more malo for me and there is some alcohol heat on the finish. Hmm.
Rich nose; marzipan, a little gamey and meaty as well as slight struck match. despite the lack of fruit this is a very nice. Lacks on the palate but a little texture and the fruit begins to show a little ripe fruit. Hmm.
France, Burgundy, Mâconnais, Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine
Very struck match/bacon fat, meaty, dominates nose . In the mouth it's a bit citrus, juicy, lemon focussed with that struck match and plenty of texture on the mid palate and front of mouth dries things out.
Peachy, buttery, slight marzipan, sweet spice; quite rich. And equally rich on the palate; similar flavours, perhaps lacks a little freshness but kind of fun in a blousy way.
Medium minus intensity aromas of stone fruit, marzipan, butter. Richly textured with similars flavours to the nose but bolder, a little alcohol warmth. Okay.
