Opened 3-1/2hrs prior to dinner & slow-oxed in Riedel BDX glasses & btl. Served at high 50s / low 60s. cellar temp which I feel is smart w/ any 14.9% Alc wine. Dark Ruby red. Aromas of smoky cedar & berries. Big but relatively fresh & focused w/ dark chocolate infused, blackberry, cherry, expresso & licorice. The 14.9% alc is pretty well integrated with the fruit but a cool temp is a must. 92+ My last of three and decent value at the then $65 price. Wouldn't pay more today though.

This was significantly improved from the bottle I had two years ago and drinking extremely well at this point. Visually, it's still very purple tinged and doesn't appear like a ten-year-old Napa cab. In the glass, a really beautiful plush fruit and floral nose is followed by a mélange of dark fruit tones, tobacco, and faint licorice on the palate. Very complex and continues to open and evolve over the evening. Glad I have two more.

Delicious, just delightful. Agree with previous commentor that the wine drank young in terms of the aromas (black fruit, graphite, leather) and flavors (bramble, black cherry, sweet tobacco), but with the tannins more integrated. It still had some astringency on the back of the palate, however, which indicates that this vintage has more life yet left in it. Excellent Pritchard Hill vino.

Even as pnp this was wonderful. One of the best bouquets ever. Rich cherry and elderberry flavors with well-integrated tannins. Many years remaining.
