This bottle had some singed herbs, newsprint, bay leaves, plums and medium ripeness berries. Felt a little leaner on the palate than I expected, but had something of a slight fleshy texture. I liked this a little more than I expected — seemed to have that subtle special quality. Tasted like it had a little more age on it than it does.

Super disappointing. Can't believe I got tricked into buying several bottles by the Rimmerman hype. Would never have recognized this as a CdP in a blind tasting. Nothing "wrong" with it taste-wise but it does not have the extract, richness, complexity, or minerality of the better CdPs. Heading towards plonk.

PnP. Bitter and off-putting out of the gate, with odd petrol/rubber aromas and taste. After about 20 minutes in the glass, it settled down and provided typical Grenache notes of dark fruits and floral aromatics. A bit boozy and heavy. I'll decant the next one for an hour and see how it goes.

Pretty underwhelming in 2021. Right out of the bottle there was an unpleasant tar/rubber aroma that took a couple hours to blow off. What was left behind wasn’t terribly exciting. I get vague barnyard, raspberry, and violet.
The palate is better than the nose, though. It introduces some blackberry and leather backed with medium tannins and acidity. It’s definitely not bad, but I had much higher hopes for $35. Maybe I should’ve forgotten about it in my wine fridge for a few years.

Inky purple. Earth, cherry, and anise nose. Medium body. Medium tannins and acidity. Plum and cranberry palate. Medium finish.
