  • This bottle had some singed herbs, newsprint, bay leaves, plums and medium ripeness berries. Felt a little leaner on the palate than I expected, but had something of a slight fleshy texture. I liked this a little more than I expected — seemed to have that subtle special quality. Tasted like it had a little more age on it than it does.

  • Inky purple. Earth, cherry, and anise nose. Medium body. Medium tannins and acidity. Plum and cranberry palate. Medium finish.

  • Super disappointing. Can't believe I got tricked into buying several bottles by the Rimmerman hype. Would never have recognized this as a CdP in a blind tasting. Nothing "wrong" with it taste-wise but it does not have the extract, richness, complexity, or minerality of the better CdPs. Heading towards plonk.

  • PnP. Bitter and off-putting out of the gate, with odd petrol/rubber aromas and taste. After about 20 minutes in the glass, it settled down and provided typical Grenache notes of dark fruits and floral aromatics. A bit boozy and heavy. I'll decant the next one for an hour and see how it goes.

  • Pretty underwhelming in 2021. Right out of the bottle there was an unpleasant tar/rubber aroma that took a couple hours to blow off. What was left behind wasn’t terribly exciting. I get vague barnyard, raspberry, and violet.

The palate is better than the nose, though. It introduces some blackberry and leather backed with medium tannins and acidity. It’s definitely not bad, but I had much higher hopes for $35. Maybe I should’ve forgotten about it in my wine fridge for a few years.

  • Christmas family dinner, served with roasted sattle of local venison.

This is a blend from 5 plots (a Crau (sud), Cristia, la Guigasse, la Pointu and Saint-Georges), predominantly Grenache (95%) with 12 other grape varieties. 8,000 bottles produced. Bought 3 bottles.

4h decant, which I consider a minimum. Already very nice to drink, might of course further develop. Silky, complex palate with cherries, raspberries, herbs, spices, smooth tannins. Long finish.
I will try to keep my hands off the other two bottles for a while...

  • This is a fairly unique ChdP. More on the savory side than most, this had very lively red fruit with a nice dose of earth and game. Medium to full bodied. Very nice clean and compelling finish. May well improve, but is certainly drinking well now.

  • More going on than meets the initial pass through. Solid foundation if not a bit young strawberry laced with tangerine. Has character and depth and may be more interesting in 5-8 yrs

  • Juicy, ripe, sweet, fresh, round layers of black raspberry and peppery cherries are on the nose and palate. The kirsch notes in the finish are quite nice. The wine was produced from 99% Grenache and assorted other allowable grape varieties.
