Weak and wimpy. This was rosé in color, body and mouthfeel, and it was an embarrassment to pour for some Italian friends who are very proud of their wine culture and had to explain why this was so miserable and poor. This bottle had some sense of cherry and leather but mostly just underripe fruit. What's the Italian word for crap? It's "Merda"! And now we know what MERDA tastes like!
Very light in color, typical of Barolo. Almost pinkish at the rims with a light ruby color the middle of the glass. Light to medium body. Nose initially restrained but opening up. Sour cherries, hints of baking spices, a bit of vegetal green. Underripe red fruits in the mouth. Slightly grippy tannins but they don’t linger, refreshing and a tad acidic. Probably could use more cellar time but in a good spot now. It’s hard to rate Barolos with a score, they don’t blow me away but but they are always consistently good. This is a perfect example of the terroir. Very good.

First wine I try from this producer. Brandini is a relatively new up-and-coming producer in the industri, but I must say, that I believe the hype, when I taste the juice. A garnet red color in the glass. Fresh forrest strawberries and sour red and black cherries. Floral notes of roses and savory notes of anise and tobacco. The taste fruity with surprisingly soft tannins for such a young wine. Not bad at all but would be very curious to see how this wine represents itself 10-15 years from now...

Beau fruit. Tanins soyeux, cerise «tart», moyenne finale. Agréable.
