This one was a nice surprise for $28. Cool climate absolutely comes through. Very juicy, great acidity. Raspberry, cherry, mint and eucalyptus notes. Opens up very nicely after about 30-45 minutes.

Smells like a cool climate Bordeaux varietal wine. And the structure and body shows that as well. Cool climate, aged Bordeaux, from a Bordeaux superior, if we were in Bordeaux. Fine at $22 but not really anything more.

Previous bottle some months ago was far too young. This one was superlative. Bottle was in the car for 2+ days and served at room temp but was great from the initial open. Cabernet Sauv notes dominate on the nose and the palate along with a bit of merlot, hard to pick up the CF except a tiny bit on the finish. Bright red fruit notes on nose and palate with lots of complexity, esp. on the finish. If this wine continues like this, wow!

This is a nice red with a bigger profile than one might expect from this cool-climate region. The wine was pretty true to the varietal, and though I don't have experience to say this, I'd imagine that this is what Bordeaux tasted like many decades ago.

Really tasty and complex. Heavy tannins, so I think a little bit more of age would do nicely
