Still drinking well. Years ago thought the wine had a bit to much oak, but over the years that has integrated nicely into the fruit. Last one from Premier Cru. Should have tried some higher appellations, but over my budget. Nice wine.

Tasted over 3 hrs -opaque dark red no bricking -mild reduction funk dominates -med acidity, med weight faded smoky dark fruit earth, chalky med+ dried out tannins -might have been a bit too much to expect this would still be singing but thought it might be given the vintage, there is minimal fruit but also no tertiary complexity

Wow, nice burgundy, thought it was oaky years ago, but has become quite a nice Bourgogne. As a previous review, it seems to be in a good place. Drink up!

in a very good place, and not showing any age. Took almost an hour to really loosen up, to dark red berries, with lots of earth. I did not get the oak others mention,,, I did get some beautiful tea spice.

My 4th of 4 bottles. A good bit of oak. It's dark fruited, slightly sweet with a rich appealing texture. There's decent acidity to keep the wine interesting and it doesn't fall to flabby. It leans dark, and toasty, but I don't dislike it. Good for what it is.

(Jayer-Gilles Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits) Medium, medium-plus colour. A nose that has plenty of oak - dark, slightly toasty and sweet with fainter higher tones. Equally flavour-packed as the previous day’s Lejeune but less fat despite the oak quotient. Good acidity that leaks sweet flavour across the tongue. Plenty of oak but it certainly diddn’t turn me off. This is a very tasty, darkly fruited drink right now.
