Nice pale color with tons of characteristic Gewurtz notes. Slightly (ever so) sweet, but it ended up working very well with the Korean barbeque. I am a big fan of this wine as it feels no need to pound you over the head with anything.

Sight: Golden Smell: apple, pear, light mead/honey, almost gave me Renfest flashbacks; Kevin said "a fruity explosion in my nose!" Taste: not near as sweet as expected from the smell; heavy pear and apple; almost bittersweet Overall Impression: Got this from the wine club - not sure if we'd buy on our own, despite a silly loyalty to Gun-Bun. I think there are much better Gewurz's out of Germany/Alsace that are at a comparable or lesser price point. Did I mention the heavy apple & pear? Our Rating (1-10): 6
UPDATE: The wine mellowed a lot by day 2. Upgrade to a 7 out of 10.

Still doing quite well. This is not a once in your lifetime wine by any means, but it is a nice, mid-week quaff. Similar to previous notes.
