Central Victorian Cabernets can be on the tight, metallic side. No fears here. Soft, commercial style. No regional characteristics at all. Mind you it’s not entirely clear where the fruit is from “produced and bottled at Blue Pyrenees Estate” but no claim of the provenance of the grapes.

Wine Selectors 50 Best Tasting (Wharf 2 13 Hickson Road Millers Point): Ripe black fruits cream, vanilla caramel, sweet spice. Old school nose. Juicy with expensive oak, fruit tending to the Porty on the palate, a little fig, fruit bomb, slightly out of whack but it is what it is
