Initially a little struck match reductive under this some fresh black hued fruits In the mouth it's juicy with the fresh black fruits quite quickly overtaken by rather drying though softly textured tannins. Hmm.

Plummy, rich and ripe, a little red fruit (raspberry) underpin. In the mouth it is refreshingly juicy, the plums fresh and a little wild, a touch of bitterness, tannins are grippy and drying though talc textured. Simple and okay.

a little toffee apple, fig, dried peaches and apricots on the nose. Lusciously sweet but with a tiny touch of woody bitterness to accompany figs, raisins and a little toast & biscuit. It's surprisingly simple for a minimum 15 year old fortified.
Figs, dried figs and walnuts with caramel tending to toffee, muscovado sugar. Medium plus intensity acidity and alcohol help with the impression of juiciness but this is lusciously sweet, a little coffee joins the figs and dried figs, walnuts and baked sugar notes. A little simple and lightweight fruit wise but this is balanced and perfectly pleasant.
Green apple, lemon lozenges, tiny smidge of almost grapefruit. Crisp mousse, leesy textured bur, a little biscuit and a touch of hoppy bitterness on the finish. Hmm.

NV Patritti Chardonnay Rare Old Fortified
Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale
a little toffee apple, fig, dried peaches and apricots on the nose. Lusciously sweet but with a tiny touch of woody bitterness to accompany figs, raisins and a little toast & biscuit. It's surprisingly simple for a minimum 15 year old fortified.

NV McWilliam's Family Reserve 10 Year Old Tawny
Australia, New South Wales, Big Rivers, Riverina
Figs, dried figs and walnuts with caramel tending to toffee, muscovado sugar. Medium plus intensity acidity and alcohol help with the impression of juiciness but this is lusciously sweet, a little coffee joins the figs and dried figs, walnuts and baked sugar notes. A little simple and lightweight fruit wise but this is balanced and perfectly pleasant.

Green apple, lemon lozenges, tiny smidge of almost grapefruit. Crisp mousse, leesy textured bur, a little biscuit and a touch of hoppy bitterness on the finish. Hmm.

Touch of almost castor oil is slightly odd and off-putting, yeasty underpin. Aggressive and coarse mousse, the palate reflects the nose. Ugh

NV Sidewood Estate Sparkling Pinot Noir

Slightly dirty smelling, smidge of red cherry and candy gloss. Aggressive though finely textured mousse, touch of mid palate burr but it's quite muted and a little anonymous. Meh.
