Popped and poured. Floral nose with marzipan and berries. Light medium-bodied, soft fruit, with tannins that develop over the course of the first hour. Primary fruit with nice balanced acidity and a pleasant finsih. Will leave to develop overnight and try again tomorrow.
£10.99 from Aldi so I thought this was good value seeing as the 2019 has just released en primeur for £13.50 in bond. Picked up two more, try again in 3/4 years (2024).

20 hours later, the friut has gained weight with nice plump blackcurrant flavours, and tannins remain firm and mouth-filling. Overall, a little disjointed and needs to sleep for a few more years. 88 pts based on current showing.

Consistent with earlier notes, a touch more full bodied this time. Good quaffer.

Decent quaffer this. Plums and red currants, medium bodied with nicely balanced tannins. Good for $35 NZ.
