My first Bonarda Piedmonese, and it impressed. If this bottle is representative, Bonarda can give Nebbiolo, Tempranillo, and Chenin Blanc a run for the money in terms of aging potential. Full of crisp red fruit and savory mushroom, no one would guess it was approaching sixty.

Decanted an hour or so before drinking. Cork soaked 3/4 through Red fruit (cherry, raspberry), nice floral- strong rose, spice, soy, good acidity. Lingering finish. Probably on the downward slope but still really enjoyable.
