Popped and poured. Light gold color. Nose of white peach, chalk, lemon zest, and pear. On the palate, slightly oily with orchard fruits and lychee. Nice racy finish. Glad to have more of this. At the price I paid, a screaming bargain. My first Austrian Riesling and I am impressed.

Colour: a clear & bright gold wine with some legs Nose: A clean, medium plus intensity, developing wine with aromas of lemon, lime, gun flint, kerosene, slight honeyed notes and floral blossom Mouth: A dry, high acidity, no tannin, medium and warming alcohol, medium body and medium plus flavour intensity wine with flavours of slight kerosene, lime, lemon and a slight petillance/spritz in the mouth that introduces a very bitter and medium finish. I think that the wine is a little advanced for what it is though not in the completely flawed category - the cork wasn't dodgy though.

taste: medium bodied with medium+ acidity and balanced tones of pears, minerals, and peaches. Lacking on both the mid and finish as well.
overall: I doubt this needs more time. Just didn't seem like it will fully come together on the palate as it is lacking depth on both the palate and nose. Still, it's a very good riesling that is enjoyable with good balance to it.

(Weingut Willi Bründlmayer Riesling Zöbinger Heiligenstein) Light medium yellow color; floral, lightly oily, mint nose; chiseled, very tart stone fruit palate with minerals, chalk and a ripe peach edge; medium-plus finish

Chicago Wine Flock...Jim is Playin' Those Wine Games ("Chateau La Grange" - La Grange IL): Tasted double blind. Ripe and rich start with spice and nutty notes. Less opulent middle, clearly bone dry. Moderate weight and length. Very enjoyable, slightly simple. Overall character made me think Gewurztraminer or Pinot Gris.

A Friday Afternoon at Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage, Chicago IL): nose: balanced and citrus based nose of pears, peaches, tropical citrus and mineral tones. Not too much depth either
