I drank this wine when it was released (in 2019 I think). I thought it was promising but a bit edgy. Five years later, it's stunning for its power and unusually prominent notes of apple. Deep golden color. On the nose, faint aroma of yeasty bread with a dominant of green apple. On the palate, there is a very deep and long mouthful of ripe apple backed up by superbly balanced acidity. The aftertaste is reminiscent of Calvados. Not the most complex Champagne, but clearly one where maturity has created something rare and beautiful. I wish I had bought more. I might have done so if not for the ridiculously wasteful (and somewhat dangerous) case it comes in. This wine be better than most vintages of Pol Roger Churchill I have had.

Wine party at Normanton. Fancy box. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow gold colour. Fine bubbles. Thin legs. Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of almond nuttiness, oxidative caramel cream, peaches, yellow apples. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12%), almost full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of green apple, yellow apple, peaches, almond nuts. Broad medium+ finish. Nice drinking already. Felt a little more advanced than expected for a 2011.

Drank watching no time to die at home 2nd time around. Still very young, plenty of green apple but opened up nicely in the glass with classic Bollinger notes. Will age nicely this with patience.

Bright, golden, fine bubbles.
Full-bodied with velvety texture, well balanced with freshness of the fruit.

On the young side - perfectly balanced, but should age for quite a while more to develop stronger characteristics
