Drunk at the 2007 Peter Lugeresque OL at Peter Pratt's Inn today. I brought this as a starter for the Rhone table because at least it was a Rhone grape. Wonderfully fruity and floral with an excellent balance of alcohol and acid. It had the subtle guava of a good sauvignon blanc, the lychees of a good gewurztraminer, just a touch of butter from a CA chardonnay, with the beginings of some roasted nuts from a burgundian chardonnay. I gave tastes of this to a lot of people and I got 3 WOWs, plus my wife's "I love it" and my own opinion, so I think that 94 points is a good measure.

Every vintage this seems to be getting better. More floral than prior vintages with nice white summer fruit as well. Peach and apricot on the palate as weel. Moderately good length but the finish seems a bit clunky with overt heat.

Peter Pratt's Luguresque Offline - Italian Table (Peter Pratt's Inn - Yorktown Heights): Tried this at the end of the night. Man I love a good viognier. Even nearly room-temperature, this was beautiful.

Great Italian Night in Vancouver (A Nice Italian Restuarant): Correct floral nose. A bit faint as the wine starts cold. Nice sweet honeysuckle palate - a ripe version, but well done. Good acid maintained throughout the length of the wine.
