I thought this was an absolutely delicious Chianti Classico. It had a delightful nose, with sweet cherries and wild berry aromas, perfumed violets, and then nicely lifted notes of sweet herb and spice, all seasoned with little savoury notes of dried earth. The palate was still very youthful, with fine tannins and bright Sangiovese acidity lending a chewy, food-friendly structure to its juicy flavours of black cherries and sweeter red berries, these again seasoned with a nice blush of spice and wild herb, all twisting away into a nicely perky finish. A solid wine, with plenty of depth, yet more than enough fresh structure, so that it seemed lighter on its feet than the labelled 14.5%. Delicious now, especially with a bit of pizza, but this will be even better in 4-5 years.

Tasted at The Great Italian Walkabout, host by Tenuta Park90.
Didn’t have time for the wine tasting notes. Only the scores.

First tasted at Molesini event in 2019. Agree with Paul S notes. Quite good.
