From corovin, with no decant so perhaps not ideal conditions, but still a lovely glass of young burgundy. Fresh nose of sour cherries, raspberry, hawthorn and a touch of green stalk, but in a lovely refreshing way. Bit of oak/vanilla and light floral scents too. Palate is fresh, juicy red berrys, good acidity, good body and decent length. Well balanced and delicious.
While it’s not going to blow you away with its intensity or complexity, it’s a lovely Friday evening wine or would be a real crowd pleaser at a dinner party. Good VFM, and I think it’s just about perfect now if you’re looking for a fresh and well balanced burgundy.

Joyous red burgundy. Prominent black cherry, freshness, bright dark garnet color, medium weight, velvety finish, showing very well at this stage. From the Cote Chalonnaise region, this Faiveley 1er cru is a great value.

Drank a glass or so a night over a 5 day period, showed beautifully on the last two days or so after the oak influence died down a bit
