This Patty Green pinot is really in a nice spot right now. Popped the cork and let it sit for a couple hours then poured out a couple glasses. The nose is a bit subdued, showing some earthy notes and slight hint of old world funk. First impression when tasting was of ripe dark cherries and a medium amount of acidity. As the evening went on this bottle blossomed showing layers of cherry, blackberry, subtle baking spices, fully resolved tannins and a decent hit of acid.

At home being the chief cook and bottlewasher I take the liberty of using the coravin every night to have a glass of wine while preparing dinner. This past weeks wine was this pinot noir. I will start by saying it was enjoyable but my style. The glass I extracted from the bottle everynight was conistant. There was red fruit on the nose. The palate was dominated by strawberry with hints of spices which is just not my preferred pinot noir. I go for the dark cherry, red plum or depending on the vineyard raspberry. The finish was moderate. Again it was a nice wine and if you like the strawberry palate it is defintely for you.

Bright raspberry and red plum on the nose. Similar tastes on the palate with a touch of citrus. For me this was not the typical PG. I normally find her wines to be made more in an old world style which I prefer. This wine was much more fruit forward and more in a new world style to me. Not the normal Ana/Weber Vineyard wines I've enjoyed in the past.
