High/Low Blind Tasting III (Amy and Scott's house): Decanted about 30 minutes, this did not show well, nor did the 2018 Louis Martini sonoma cabernet that it was served blind alongside. There seems to be a lot of stuffing here, but the flavor profile is off. Louis Martini has always been a regular, inexpensive and readily available producer, I am now concerned. Not sure I'll buy more.

High/Low Blind Tasting III (Eagan, MN): High Low Tasting: Honestly a difficult wine to drink and had a lot of greenness to it. Oak, bell pepper, tannic and earth. A bit harsh but could tell this was the more expense of the two. Just not showing well right now.
Very dark red color. PNP, drank a small glass over an hour. Brought to my holiday party at work. Deep black fruits on the nose, cassis, black cherry, plum, subtle damp earth and soil. The palate is plush and full bodied, mouth coating, cassis, black cherry, boysenberry, wood spices, round tannins. Not quite at the sweet spot, but in the window. 91+ to 92pts.

Really nice, full bodied Sonoma Cabernet. Blue fruit and black fruit prominent, touches of tobacco leaf and leather. In a nice place now but probably will evolve a bit more. Outstanding value at $40 from WTSO.

Very dark inky red/purple color. PNP, drank a glass plus over 2 hours. Nice cassis on the nose, creme de cassis, black cherry, plum, vanilla, moist earth and soil. The palate is plush, velvety in texture, creme de cassis, black cherry, plum, vanilla, wood spices, fne tannins. Full bodied with sweetish fruit, still some vanilla, but this is good already and should have nice upside over 3 to 5 more years. 91(+)pts.
