Somehow I finished up with a case of this which I regret. With a demi-sec Vouvray I like like piercing acidity as well integrated sweetness.Here I get a saccharine explosion in the front of the mouth which is unpleasant and detracts from the other good features. I also detest diet soda for the some reason. No doubt a minority viewpoint!

clear golden color, white flower, peaches and melon on the nose, round, nice body and mouthfeel, this vintage sports a nice touch of sweet and pure white fruit, nectar-like, with hints of honey, peach and apple, well made, this one has some sweetness, it went really well with a macaroni ham and cheese bake

Aria Guest Chef Dinner (Bardot Brasserie Restaurant, Las Vegas, NV): This off-dry Chenin Blanc is sourced from vines that average 45 years of age. Limpid and light golden, it delivers an attractive package of baked apples, pit fruits, lemon verbena and wet stones. Medium-bodied, softly oaked and with well-woven alcohol, it nicely balances its sweetness with the right amount of crisp acidity. Solid on the mid-palate and finishing with good length, this is a wine that can stand its ground when confronted with fat-laden dishes such as foie gras. Drink now-2023.
