Popped and poured - cork sound. Initially smelled of decay, then sous bois; autumn leaves, mushrooms, a little horse shit, leather, earth, blood...In the mouth there is a little sweetness; like sugar plums drenched in fresh blood, leather tannins are talc textured and persistent. Yum with lamb shank and neck stew.
