Bought one the other day during a local gourmet local grocery chain's wine sale for 8 (WE90, "Save $10"). Natural cork. Medium purple; briary red fruit nose, some oak, that follow on the palate. Tasty, simple Zin that held up well with vacuvin over 24h. Nothing distinctive in a crowded field, not a re-buy. My evaluation (see earlier posts for my non-point rating system): This is notable when considering quality, age, and price.

Medum dark garnet color in glass. No browning evident. Subdued nose. Nice soft fruit on palate with low acidity. Alcohol (14.5%) does not intrude. Lots of weight on palate. Not much ripe fruit or sweetness in finish which I expected. Has sort of a "brooding" feel.

Nose: brush, mint, smells like the oaky forests in Southern California I love!
Palate: mint and dark chocolate coated fruits, woody finish.
Very smooth wine, viscous and well put together. Almost port-like, which makes sense because their port is one of my favorite wines ever I actually really dig this!

A bit of heat from the alcohol. Dark ruby. Opens up nicely
