Deep gold in the glass. On the nose rich yellow stone fruits, quite tropical and rich. Hints of cream, vanilla, wood and matchsticks On the palate, quite thick and a rich mouthfeel, oak but balanced with a nice mineral, lemony fresh streak. A big wine. Very nice - drink now. This wine has developed well.

30% Pedro Ximenez, Muscat de Alexandria - two sweet wine grapes used to make a dry wine. Intense aromas of the Ximenez dominate nose and palate. The grape flavour of the Muscat supports the Ximenez. Interesting rather than appealing. Candied peel flavours, lemon, melon, and hints of caramel - slight oxidative flavours. Medium to full body, medium+ acidity. Quite a full on wine. Persistent and moderate complexity. Now and for 5 years?
