Cigliuti Visit - Tasting with Gracious Claudia Cigliuti: Clay soil, Campass vineyard, Serraboella cru, aged in barrique. Harvested 2 weeks later than usual, from a second stalk given off by a barbera vine after the original stalk was destroyed by the April hale storm. The late ripening and harvest helped to navigate the extreme heat of the '17 summer. Viscous texture, bold, tangy, some ripe blueberry notes, slight bitterness in the finish. Typical barbera acidity, needs time. A big, powerful, concentrated barbera.
