Washington Wine Highway (Chateau Ste. Michelle, Woodinville, WA): The nose of this wine was very floral, and bright. There is 8% Cab Franc in this Merlot blend, and it came through almost too well. The palate of this wine had raspberry, plum and currant flavors with a bright and zippy tang. This wine was a little hot, but the brightness of the fruit and floral notes was more evident than the alcohol. Although Walla Walla Vintners Cab Franc is absoultely beautiful, I really prefer Merlots to be darker and more sultry. Just not my style of Merlot.

This is quite nice. Holding up. Short finish but full mid palate. Should be consumed ASAP.

Served at dessert w/ double choco souffle, did not match up with dessert, so it tasted dry. Bit it was a crowd pleaser.
