At L'Arpege with Nancy. Steered to this by the sommelier as I don't think a red Mersault woud have ever occured to me to order. Not decanted but opened and poured a glass about 30 minutes ahead. Lovely nose of light cherriy, mushroom, flowers and herbs. Palate nicely structured to support the flavors. Finished with good lift and acidity. The wine went very well with some very stunning cuisine that had layers of complexity. Not sure a wine of similar complexity would have been as harmonious or pleasurable.
