Dark ruby color. Little of interest on the nose at first, later evolved into anise, plum, and white pepper. Jammy flavors, quite a bit of oak, tannins still evident, and not a whole lot else. At the end of the day, another fighting varietal, nothing memorable.

Youthful and structured, somewhat tart and linear, but with sneaky complexity, and plenty of dark fruit, cassis, and a pretty whiff of toast.

Ok daily drinker... a bit rough around the edges. Decent, but nothing special
