Conference pear, apple, brioche, a hint of something almost exotic but undefined, underpinned by subtle underlying creaminess and spice. Rich and full on the palate, with orchard fruits, a pleasant bitter (anise?) note and a deceptively lingering grapefruit peel finish. Tongue-coating acidity is spot on. This is already nice and approachable, but slightly astringent. I suspect it will come together further. 91+.

Still too young and not singing yet but hugely improved on day 2 so I assume the potential is there to do so. hold for another 3+ years.

Two hour slow ox. Straw color. Lychee, dried apricot, and crème brûlée on the nose. Smooth, dry, slightly tart palate. Nice, tongue coating acidity.

Good precision and minerality mixed with generous and ripe fruit. A little unbalanced at this stage. Good length. 89-90+(+?)
