  Villa Maria Taylors Pass 2019 - Typisch NZ Marlborough SB neusje. Grassig, citrus, gevolgd door tropisch fruit. In de mond fris, sappig en mineralig met het zuurtje aan de zijkanten van de mond. Tropisch fruit komt terug met citroengras en groene appel. In de afdronk komt passievrucht sterk naar voren.

  Villa Maria zoom tasting (home): Single vineyard from Awatere Valley, colder than Marlborough, closer to the ocean. This single vineyard is released later, 50% Wairau yeasts, 50% neutral years,
  RS 2.8g/lt, pH 3.34, t acid 6.8
  
  The wine shows slightly lower intensity in the nose than Reserve 2020, lemon, lime, the grass is more upfront, flinty, more peppery/spicy
  The wine shows high intensity in the palate, again more grassy, high acidity, mineral, flinty, stony, lime, lemon, medium body, medium finish, more “aggressive”, closer to Loire

  A strongly aromatic nose dominated by gooseberry, tomato leaf, grass, lemon and a light note of liquorice.
  
  Quite rich and creamy on the palate for a sauvignon blanc. The classic acidity of the variety is present but quite wonderfully enveloped in elegance. A long and lively finish leaves you wanting more.
