Kabaj Tasting. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of vanilla oak toast barrle, cedarwood, blackberry fruit underneath the ton of oak influence, black cherries. Developing. On the plate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of leathery animal hide, blackberry, black cherries, charming sweet earthiness, cedarwood + integrating vanilla oak. Very leathery long finish. Good quality. Feels over-oaked on the nose, but actually already integrating on the palate. Interesting Merlot that absorbs the oak much better than Pinot Noir in my opinion. Could be quite good in a few more years with more integration.
