Better on day two. On day one the fruit and barbecue sauce flavors were a little overpowering for me. Day two these had subsided and there was a touch of minerality and structure poking through.

Coravined a taste of this even though I knew it was too soon—but I was too lazy to go downstairs to the cellar for an older bottle. It didn’t disappoint. Tannins are smooth and it is very pleasant and drinkable now. Lovely floral and fruity aromas and then a big fruity palate that will need some time to calm down. Right now mostly blueberries, blackberries and vanilla, not much in the way of savory elements or spice. I look forward to trying this one with a bit more maturity.
Very herbacious with strong underlying red fruit notes. I believe this one will benefit from a few years on its side as the flavors are all there just a little pow-pow right now. Hoping the years will mellow it out.

Drinking well. Still some grip to the tannins, and the front end has broadened and mellowed, blue and black fruit, olive, earth, game.
