Tasted at the Barolo and Barbaresco World Opening Tasting Event in NYC. This is a traditionally made wine if with some modern sensibilities toward shorter macerations (14 days) and inoculation with native yeasts. Aged for 18 months in Botte Grande. This had a very attractive, round sweet and engaging bouquet. Light in color and texture but with pretty big tannin. Plenty of earthy cherry on the palate and a very long mouthwatering finish. Certainly one for the cellar.
