Nose shows beautiful dark raspberry, ripe funky strawberry, little bit of oak and forest floor underneath. Palate is beautiful. Raspberry and strawberry are elevated by supple acidity that brings some freshness. Little bit of supportive minerality as well. Finish is a little short but shows a quick blast of riper raspberry and some attractive berry leaf. Acid and tannin play to the rocky mineral character here, though it is not necessarily prominent. Tannins are well integrated and consistent with PN.
A few years ago this wine was a "wine epiphany" for me. It showed me how Burg is different from Cali PN (and IMO, much better), so I have a soft spot for this wine. I think it is very well fleshed out and drinking beautifully now. I don't inherently disagree with prior notes, but I think it is definitely of good quality and a good representation of Mercurey.
Drinks beautifully now, even better with a slight chill (I have mine in a 60F water bath). No reason to wait, though I think it has another 3 years ahead. Solid 90-91 for me, I won't argue with 88-89 scores.

Reallly delicious. Perfect expression of Pinot. High acid but perfectly in balance.

Quite dark Pinot Noir aromas, with evident oak. After a while smoke and tar. Rather lean style.

Fresh and fruity, almost sweet. More like a new world pinot, but still good.

Nice, but a bit neutral, Pinot Noir aromas with some quite pronounced wood. Ripe and somewhat bland on the palate. Lacks freshness.
