Similar to previous notes. More structured than a lot of other Napa cabs, the fruit is a bit hidden but it's there. Pretty solid, and one to age more, though feels overpriced. More of a cool climate style and not as rich as one might like, but certainly interesting and will appeal to many.

2.5 hour decant. Nose of black currant, mint, and medicinal note that we couldn't pin down - not quite iodine. Very dry palate of dark fruit, loamy earth, briny black olive, very dark chocolate, and lilac. Chalky tannins on the finish with white pepper, graphite, and dry black fruit with longer-lingering tannins riding over the red currant undertone.

Opened, decanted and saved half in a 375ml bottle. Grassl Cru stem. And then Gabriel Glas. Dark purple color. Nose is concentrated dark fruit. Some hint of oak but the dark fruit is the primary focus. Packed and concentrated. With time open, it starts to unfurl and open yet still have strong backbone suggesting to let these age. Wonderful fruit with a mint / herbal note. Dynamic and with such depth. A beautiful wine. Look forward to opening another one in 2 or 3 years.
Branded cork with vintage (18). 14.1% abv.

Tannins are softening a bit. Very nicely presented black currant profile with flint notes and fine tannins. Still has a rather astringent tannic element on the lengthy finish. Starting to soften—I like where this is going but the structure is still huge. Is there mountain fruit in this?

Nice, but still drinking pretty young. These will go a long time.
