Impromptu bottle popped and poured alongside beef bulgolgi. Cassis and hint of mint showing on a deep and alluring nose. Medium full in body with very suave tannins and perfectly pitched acidity. It is regal and pure showing bright delicious fruit yet remaining elegant and classy. Young, yet hard to fault anyone drinking it from now. Love this wine.

Quite dark red in colour. Nose is a little muted and shows some graphite, cassis, cherry and possibly hint of new oak. Upon the palate this has fine tannins and bright red delicious fruit, in fact it really surprises with the vibrancy which you would never guess from the nose. Whilst it is bright and fruity it also remains classical and restrained which sounds contradictory but seems to be the case. Originally served pop and pour and was probably a 91 pointer but on day 2 this seems better and perhaps more serious than I had anticipated and there is some persistence on the finish. First bottle from a case of 12 and whilst fine to drink now, it will be interesting to check in on every so often, and my gut feeling is that this will improve and blossom in bottle. From Zalto Universal. 92+(+)
