If rating only for value, this score would be even higher. Hints of rasberry and dark cherry with primary influences of black pepper and plum. Alcohol is still there, but not terribly noticeable on the finish. This is a strong Syrah for this price range ($13). I would say the drinking window is open through 2010. Glad to have more held back on this oe...

Deep dark and brooding. good aromas of blood orange, blackberries, earth and lots of vanilla/toasted oak. I sense too much use of oak. If there is a negative, that would be it for me. Good flavors, good acidity but heat on the palate. I'm getting more and more sensitive to heat (bottle says 14.5% alc.) good finish.

this is delicious, but much more than an average fruit bomb. rich, dirty riple plum, blackberry, spice and toasty vanilla oak. just lush and delicious and the tannins are ripe and soft. drinking just fine now after being open an hour.

For $12, it's not a great value. Worth $8.

Actually very good. We don't like syrahs in general, preferring zins or cabs, but I would drink this one again.
